All tanning lamps emits UVA and UVB but because of the wavelength they reach different levels in your skin.UVA rays will penetrate deeper layers of your skin. They rays will oxidize the melanin in the skin and this gives you the brown colour. The bronzing lamps use higher ratio of UVA rays hence the colour is deeper and richer. They can be used by people who already have tan.
